Bromley Mencap is delighted to announce that the Paralympic Gold Medallist John Cavanagh (see photo below) will be appearing at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) next Wednesday, 10th October, starting at 11am.

John is a four-time Paralympian, who has been competing in archery at international level for over 16 years.

John will be recounting his experience at the London 2012 Paralympic Games   where he was a Quarterfinalist in the Men’s Individual Compound W1 as well as his achievements in winning a gold medal at the 2004 Athens Games and a  silver medal at the Beijing Games.

Our AGM will be hosted by the Mayor of Bromley. Come and find out what Bromley Mencap has been doing this year, see John with his Paralympic medals and hear from local disabled people who volunteered at this year’s Olympics and Paralympics. Our local confirmed guests include Barry McDonald, Laura Mitchell and Daniel Haywood.  

The AGM is being held at the Whitfield Hall, Bromley United Reformed Church, 20, Widmore Road, Bromley, Kent BR1 2RG.
