Bromley Mencap Short Breaks Service is Recruiting staff!
Are you energetic, fun, caring and with time to spare?
We are looking for people aged 16 to 70+ to work in our Short Breaks Service for children and teenagers with special needs or disabilities. No experience needed as we’ll offer you full free training and an induction.
If you can offer even a few hours a week or have several days when you would like to be occupied and earning some money then please contact us. We will be offering free training and support to those joining us.
Rate of Pay up £7.50 to £10.00 per hour plus holiday pay
We need staff for the following:
Sitting Service – give parents of disabled children the chance to go out for a well -earned break in the evening whilst you look after their children in the family home. Click here for more details
Buddying – support disabled teenagers to have fun out in the community and to learn a little about budgeting and traveling independently. They are keen to be out and about without their parents! Young people aged 16 to 23 are needed for this service. Click here for more details
Community Support Workers – take children aged 8 and over to the park, cinema, bowling alley, football match etc. and support them to enjoy their free time and hobbies whilst their families have a break from caring. Click here for more details

Bromley Mencap are looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic PA to support a disabled young man to access his varied programme of day services.
As a PA you’ll provide high quality 1:1 support to assist our client to go about his day to day activities, from his family home and within the local community. He currently attends a range of day services and requires support to access these opportunities fully. Our client is a wheelchair user, and requires assistance with all aspects of his support include hoisting for personal care needs.
