Young disabled people “buddy up” with their non-disabled peers and access leisure opportunities in the community.

Buddying enables people to enjoy activities such as trips to the cinema and bowling alley, having meals out or wandering along the Thames Embankment.

Travelling with their Buddy on public transport encourages independence and the opportunities help to build confidence for future adult life.

Who is this for?

The scheme is for young disabled people aged between 14 and 25.

How is it funded?

This is a self funded service.

Who should I contact?

For details of charges and for more information on Buddying please contact: Pete Hickman or Billie-Jane Price
