Cost of Living Workshop: Contracts, Technology and Subscriptions

Join Bromley Mencap’s Cost of Living team for a free practical workshop on phone contracts, internet plans, subscriptions and staying safe online.

This workshop will cover:

  • pay as you go versus phone contracts
  • understanding phone and internet plans
  • how to spot hidden or forgotten subscriptions
  • online safety and scams
  • asking for help before you agree to anything
  • practising how to say: “I need time to think about this”

Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm
Location: Orpington Methodist Church, Sevenoaks Road, Orpington BR6 9JH

The venue is an accessible location with good public transport links, and bus stops are located directly outside.

Getting there:
Buses 358, R5, R7, R8, R10 and R11 stop directly outside the church at bus stops K and M on Hillcrest Road. Orpington Station is the closest train station. The church is located at the junction of Sevenoaks Road and Hillcrest Road, around 200 metres south of the War Memorial. Street parking is restricted.
