Bromley Mencap was delighted to welcome the Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Jonathan Andrews, and the Mayoress to officially open our new Training Centre at Rutland House.
Following speeches by Mark Murphy (Head of Curriculum & Quality), Steve Barnes (Interim Chief Executive, Bromley Mencap), and Cllr Jonathan Andrews (Mayor of Bromley), the Mayor performed the ribbon cutting to mark the Centre’s opening.
Learners attended the ceremony alongside parents, carers, trustees, staff and local partners to celebrate this milestone for the charity.
The Training Centre supports 18–24-year-olds with SEND to build confidence, independence and life skills, including employability and everyday living. The new space at Rutland House enables more accredited learning, work-readiness activities and community partnerships.
