Cyclists took on a 75km challenge across Bromley and Lewisham today as part of our 75th anniversary celebrations.
Our Tour de Bromley and Lewisham brought together riders for a special cycling challenge marking 75 years of Bromley Mencap.
Starting and finishing at The Lodge in Norman Park, the 75km route took riders through Bromley and Lewisham, including stops at some of our services along the way.
The challenge was part of our 75th Anniversary Appeal, raising vital funds for Family Futures, our Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Service. Family Futures will provide early support to families with disabled children and young people, helping them access guidance, build confidence and connect with others before challenges reach crisis point.
Our team of riders took on the challenge, supported along the way by staff, volunteers, supporters and people from across Bromley Mencap.
After 75km in the saddle, riders returned to The Lodge for a well-deserved rest and the chance to celebrate their achievement together.
A huge thank you to everyone who cycled, sponsored a rider, helped on the day or supported the event. Your support is helping us celebrate 75 years by investing in the next generation of families.
There is still time to support the Tour de Bromley and Lewisham here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/75cycleride
